Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee
 solicits nominations from the membership for members of the organization to be nominated for election to the Board of Trustees of IAGA and nominations for persons to be elected as officers of the organization. This committee is chaired by IAGA Vice President Santiago Asensi.


     

SANTIAGO ASENSI, Chair, is Managing Partner of Asensi Abogados, a gaming and gambling law firm with offices in Spain and Colombia. Asensi provides legal advice to a large number of bookmakers, poker, casino, bingo and skill games operators, software providers, slot suppliers with interests located in Spain and Latin America as well as to gaming jurisdictions. Asensi Abogados was the official advisor of Coljuegos (the Colombian regulator) in the development of the first regulation for online gambling in Latin America.

     

KIM M. BARKER is the Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at Bally’s Corporation, overseeing Bally’s global legal, privacy, and compliance functions. Prior to joining Bally’s Kim served as General Counsel and Vice President, Legal and Regulatory Affairs for Northstar Lottery Group, LLC. Kim also served as IGT’s inaugural Vice President, Diversity and Inclusion. Kim is a graduate of Yale College and New York University School of Law. She is Board chair of the Community College of Rhode Island. She also serves on the board of American Gaming Association and is cochair of African Americans in Gaming.



     

JEREMY P. KLEIMAN serves on Saiber's Executive Committee and heads its Gaming Law Practice Group. Jeremy focuses his practice on gaming, regulatory and business law, representing casino operators, gaming equipment suppliers, technology providers and financial institutions involved in the gaming and lottery industries. He specializes in gaming-related corporate, regulatory, licensing and compliance matters, with an emphasis on the online and mobile gaming industry. 

     

TOMMY SHEPHERD is Co-Leader of the Gaming Industry Team of Jones Walker LLP. Tommy represents major casino companies, manufacturers, suppliers, Native American tribes and financial institutions regarding all matters relating to the development, financing, licensing and operation of gaming and resort facilities. His extensive experience in such matters includes public-private leases, financings, land use approvals, statutory and regulatory interpretation and compliance, gaming operations and administrative hearings.

 

     

JOHN STAWYSKYJ  is a recognized leader in hotel and gaming law and is responsible for Ashurst Perkins Coie's gaming practice. He is experienced in all aspects of land based and internet gaming issues, commercial transactions including acquisitions, joint ventures, development, leasing, financing arrangements, regulatory issues and drafting of management and operating agreements for gaming operations. John also has extensive experience advising on interactive and online gambling services, SMS betting competitions and other internet gaming activities.
