International Regulatory Collaboration - Moving Beyond Warm Words Towards Practical Action

In the face of a gamblification of gaming there are continuous fears of a detrimental transitioning from gaming to gambling among young people leading to gambling harms as a result. In response, some jurisdictions have considered raising the gambling age beyond 18 years to prevent gambling harm among young people. This lecture attempts to take a holistic perspective on the issue by considering various empirical factors and unintended consequences and by taking a deep dive into the regulatory toolbox. The workshop will conclude at 5 p.m. and will be followed by a cocktail hour
