Gaming Systems Analyst Gaming Technical Compliance Engineer The Massachusetts Gaming Commission ("MGC") seeks a Gaming Technical Compliance Engineer, reporting to the Gaming Technical Compliance Manager. This position is responsible for reviewing, testing, and evaluating electronic gaming devices (EGDs), ancillary equipment, sports wagering systems and equipment, assessment of modifications to EGDs, sports wagering devices, player tracking systems, slot monitoring, and accounting systems to ensure interoperability. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for providing technical support to other MGC divisions, the Network Operations Center (NOC), and regulatory compliance with MGC licensees. The role requires implementing and conducting test plans to ensure the gaming and sports wagering technology complies with the MGC regulations and technical standards. The incumbent will cooperate with the Gaming Technical Compliance Unit to identify and implement Gaming and Sports Wagering IT best practices and compliance. Business Analyst, Gaming Technical Compliance The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) seeks to hire a Business Analyst reporting to the Gaming Technical Compliance Manager to work directly with the sportsbook operators and shareholders to provide regulatory oversight, technical evaluations, and best information technology security practices for gaming technology and regulated systems operating at a gaming facility licensed by MGC. As part of their scope, the Business Analyst will fulfill MGC regulatory responsibilities regarding gaming technology and preventing wrongdoing. The role requires advanced organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate a coherent understanding to MGC sports betting licensees of how to meet compliance obligations efficiently and effectively. Systems Administrator The Massachusetts Gaming Commission ("MGC") seeks a Systems Administrator reporting to the Infrastructure Manager. This position is responsible for managing a Windows-based environment in a growing enterprise utilizing expert-level knowledge in the Microsoft Office 365 stack. The successful candidate would have experience and expertise in Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Azure management, SQL server, and Active Directory. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for implementing automated processes, developing standards and designing/managing infrastructure, coordinating support with other IT principals, developing junior staff, and acting as Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for the server and desktop environment. Network Engineer The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) seeks a Network Engineer reporting to the Information and Network Security Manager. This position is responsible for planning, designing, administering, and maintaining converged network infrastructure, unified communications, and enterprise network solutions and providing Tier II/III support. Information Security & Privacy Analyst The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) seeks an Information Security and Privacy Analyst reporting to the Information and Network Security Manager to establish, review and maintain the full range of information technology policy and oversight programs for MGC in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to, formulating information technology policies designed to oversee the gaming industry’s responsibilities to identify, assess and remediate Technology, Data, and Cybersecurity Risk relating to licensed gaming activities in Massachusetts. The role requires strategic vision and the ability to influence change and communicate a coherent understanding of how to efficiently and effectively oversee the security and data protection practices of MGC licensees. This position must develop a staffing plan to review 3rd party security audits of MGC licensees and ensure that licensees address and document risk areas identified in audit reports. Critical aspects of the work involve providing expert advice and guidance on the capabilities and limitations of IT security oversight for MGC licensees. Providing expertise and leadership in ensuring MGC licensees understand the regulatory requirements relating to security, privacy, and compliance responsibilities. All duties are to be performed in accordance with MGC policies, practices, and procedures.
