INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF GAMING ADVISORS (IAGA) ANNOUNCES 2025 INTERNATIONAL GAMING SUMMIT IN BERLIN, GERMANY
Summit will be held June 9 - 12, 2025 at The Ritz-Carlton Berlin in Potsdamer Platz
 
Las Vegas, NV — The International Association of Gaming Advisors (IAGA) will hold its 42nd International Gaming Summit Monday, June 9 through Thursday, June 12, 2025 at The Ritz-Carlton Berlin. As a premier event that brings together leaders from all global gaming sectors, the Summit will provide operators, suppliers, attorneys, investors, bankers, regulators and other advisor delegates with an unparalleled opportunity to meet and discuss the most important issues facing gaming.
 
“We are looking forward to holding our 2025 Annual International Gaming Summit in Berlin, a historic city with a vibrant art and culinary scene,” commented Jeff Barbin, IAGA President and a Partner with Phelps. “Our 2025 agenda addresses numerous issues of critical importance including the growing illegal market, the potential impact of AI across gaming operations, the progression of online casinos and navigating due diligence challenges in M&A transactions. Additionally, our agenda again includes a full-day focused on issues unique to sports betting operations, including a current look at the state of advertising restrictions, growing conflicts of interest, and a session focused on lessons learned from the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris and the Euro Cup in Germany.”
 
Barbin continued: “We are also pleased to announce that as part of the Summit, we will be launching a new initiative focused on building relationships between global gambling and betting regulators and major sports governing bodies. Our Sports and Wagering Integrity Coalition working group will focus on identifying collaborative ways that regulators and sport governing authorities can address growing threats to sports integrity and sports wagering and collaboratively identify ways to build stronger relationships to confront these threats. During the Coalition’s first closed-door workshop, experts from each stakeholder group will share unique challenges they face, highlighting ways that each side can better collaborate to protect game integrity and sport wagering and address the growing threats posed by the illegal gambling market. With major global events like the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the 2028 Olympics and the 2031 Rugby World Cup coming to the United States, we believe it’s critical that both industries deepen their collaboration to address the growing challenges each side faces.”

Summit Keynote Addresses Announced
IAGA also announced that the Summit agenda includes two keynote fireside chats that will provide attendees with unmatched insight into two key gambling and betting jurisdictions: 
  • On Tuesday, June 10, Kevin Mullally, the Chief Executive Officer of the United Arab Emirates Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority will share keen insights into the status of the Emirates’ legal framework that was shaped from a blank slate drawing on the Authority’s vast experience. Mullally will discuss some of the best practices they are implementing to bring strong licensed operators and providers into the market and talk about why it  is important for regulators to review and amend regulations to reflect a rapidly changing industry
  • On Wednesday, June 11, British Gambling Commission Chief Executive Officer Andrew Rhodes will mark the fourth anniversary of his appointment as CEO, engaging with Summit attendees in an open discussion and Q&A on the trials and tribulations of his tenure during an eventful period for gambling, the many learnings and successes along the way and the future direction of gambling regulatory reform in Great Britain.

IAGA also announced the Summit’s evening social events: 
  • Welcome to Berlin Opening Reception: Monday, June 9 from 6:30 – 8 p.m. We’ll open our 2025 Summit with a welcome reception at The Ritz-Carlton Berlin that features local culinary favorites and gives our delegates an opportunity to catch up with their global colleagues ahead of the Summit sessions.
  • Welcome to Germany Reception: Tuesday, June 10 from 7 – 9 p.m. Held atop the German Reichstag, the historic legislative German government building, guests will enjoy a panoramic view of Berlin, the nearby Brandenburg Gate and the Tiergarten, while enjoying cocktails and canapes from Käfer.
  • President’s Reception and Dinner: Thursday, June 12 from 7 – 10 p.m. We’ll close our 2025 Summit with our President’s Reception and Dinner at Café am Neuen See, a former country home located in Berlin’s historic Tiergarten.
